Steel applications are very common for our VLM 200.  Applications ranging from rolling mills, pickling, galvanizing, cut to length, and strip slitting lines. Most users use the VLM 200 for controlling the length or speed of the rolls. Knowing the accuracy of this information the customer can save material, increase lifespan of mill parts such as blades, knives, breakdown time and most of all save money.

Length measurement in a strip slitting line. Here they control the rolling speed (using the VLM 200) in order to slit the steel sheet to length.

Customer is controlling the strip speed and the speed of the blade shaft with the
VLM 200. Having the speed of the blades, you can control the cutting pressure of the blades. Overall reducing downtime and lifespan of the blades.
